Exhibition Well-being in the City, Madrid, Spain Casa de la Arquitectura, 2026

The exhibition Well-being in the City proposes a reflection on how cities shape everyday life and collective well-being. Drawing on the Quechua concept of Sumak Kawsay —Good Living—, the exhibition understands well-being as a relational condition that integrates social, ecological and spatial dimensions.

Organised around eight fundamental actions —being born, raising children, eating, healing, sleeping, playing, courting and walking— the exhibition brings together international projects that explore urban strategies centred on care, health and community life. Among the featured participants is Fernanda Canales, presenting the project House for Older Adults, which explores architecture as a framework for care, community and dignified ageing.
