In Log 65, Fernanda Canales publishes the essay “After the House,” a critical reflection on the relevance of the traditional housing model in the face of contemporary social, economic, and environmental transformations. The text questions the spatial and conceptual rigidity of the modern house, as well as its role within dynamics of inequality and consumption, proposing instead new ways of inhabiting based on flexibility, collectivity, and interdependence. Through historical references and recent proposals, the author expands the concept of housing toward an open structure that integrates community, care, and a relationship with the environment.
