FERNANDA CANALES

Located in a border community in Sonora, the Sports Center designed by Fernanda Canales is presented in Architizer as a public space aimed at strengthening social interaction and community activity within a vulnerable context. The publication highlights how the project employs courtyards, shaded areas, open circulation paths, and local materials to respond to the extreme desert climate, creating sports and gathering spaces that encourage well-being, inclusion, and the collective appropriation of public space.
