Approaching the United States border wall closer than any other structure, this building integrates an elevated walkway that serves as an entrance to the city of Agua Prieta. The main challenge was positioning the construction as close to the wall as possible while maintaining visual and spatial continuity between both sides. A ramp allows views across the border, turning the usual limits of separation into an opportunity for connection. Elevated by arches, the library becomes a stage for binational events, bridging the adjacent park and transforming a neglected area into a cultural and recreational meeting point. Acting as a large canopy, it welcomes all and fosters a sense of belonging.
